I rested for a year and then declared war on my bro for reclaiming Scotland. So my brother took Scotland and I lost Scotland for the 2nd time, thanks to the silly host mechanic and I literally punched my table.

The moment I hired mercs, the mercs spawned the province beside my capital and then get wiped out too before they even get to rally. The moment I summoned my troops they get whacked by the host army, bloody rubbish. Thing is the 30k host spawned right on top of my capital. At one point in my previous king's reign, one of my brothers who has no titles, no land, no power at all, called in a 30k host to claim Scotland. I lost Scotland about 2-3 times and had to re-fight for it all the time. He's not even my direct line, he's my previous king's cousin, had to give him all the power because my only son got assassinated by some douchebag and they wouldn't elect my daughters. My current game my army is usually really pitiful and I have to be careful who I attack and when.Įmperor's infirm and dying. It would be nice to have a big army and just steam roll over everyone. I'm slowly taking Scotland in my English campaign, pretty darn slow in fabricating claims. Wanted to march on France but I went to play my English campaign. Eventually they ceded Germany to the Golden Horde. Got destroyed by 30k, 40k Mongolian stacks easily. Eventually they did and raised something close to 20k troops but not in one army, just scattered here and there. The pathetic HRE didn't even bother to raise any army. I called in the Ilkhanate which provided another 90k allied troops. Finally I hit 500 prestige which gave me the cause to invade "Germany", which I did. I just kept marching west declaring war as I go. Right off the bat I had like 80K special event troops. Just for fun I started the game as the Golden Horde in the Rise of the Mongols era. The problem with that is that im allied with my brother and if i try that things can go to shit fast.Cw8: The mighty Holy Roman Empire is of no match at all to the Mongols: The only thing i can seem to do, but i dont know if its a good idea or not, is get limited crown authority and try to revoke her title with a hook.ĭo you think thats the way to go? If i dont get it the onlyway to get it back when she is dead and the other guy gets it is enter a war against him right? Trying to request claim, the fucking pope will not accept it.

My Spymaster already has 19 so thats good intrigue, and i have a strong hook on her mother, but other than demand payment i cant do much with it (i cant marry her with anyone becuase she is too old i will not give kids to poeple for my court instead of Cea (and even then i suppose i would still need to kill her first son).

He and his father won't have a long life, I imagine. My king is now married (my old wife died of old age a year before this) with the second in line of Gwynedd, and I already feel bad for the teenage boy who is 1st in line. But I managed to complete my seducing scheme just at the right time, boosting my murder scheme to a chance of 81% despite it having been discovered, and managed to murdered the guy. My murder scheme was discovered, so it looked grim for a while there. I started schemes to seduce the daughter of Gwynedds ruler, and to murder her husband from another family. So what I did is make my king choose the Intrigue lifestyle. Those Gwynedd bastards need to be punished. As new king I didn't have much in alliances, so I complied with Albas demands (converted to Catholic) and ceded a bit of land to Gwynedd. Alba to the north and Gwynedd there attacked me at the same time, for different reasons. Now, what came after this was interesting. Pretty much got to keep the most of my lands.
